Thirty third part of Final Fantasy X Int. walkthrough/ Trigesimo tercera parte de la guia para Final Fantasy X International. ------------------------------------------------- Boss: Spherimorph. Fighting this boss for the first time may be challenging if you don't know the trick to it, the thing is like this, boss has the ability to change his elemental weakness whenever he is attacked with a spell, he will use elemental shift, when he does attack him with a physical attack and he will counter with a spell, pay attention to wich spell he uses then use lulu to attack with the opposite element to wichever spell he used, for a more simple understanding it goes like this: if boss uses a fire spell then use a ice spell on him, if he uses a ice spell then use a fire one. if he uses a th under spell, then cast a water spell on him, if he uses a water spell, then use thunder spell. simple really, make sure to have lulu learn'd her level 2 spells and by all means wichever character you use to attack equip the said person with a no element weapon, you don't want to heal the boss right?. Boss: Crawler. Quite annoying battle indeed, this boss nullyfies magic and summons, so you have to rely hard on melee charas, try and make lighting weapons with customize, the boss is weak to said element, and by ... Marine biologists have discovered a new type of coral that lives on the ceilings of underwater caves where no coral has been found before. This bone white coral isn’t just unique in where it lives, it also lacks the symbiotic algae that most corals depend on to survive. That the new species, Leptoseris troglodyta, doesn’t carry this algae, known as zooxanthellae, may be a peculiar trick of evolution that makes it particularly suited towards life in the twilight caves it calls home.

Zooxanthellae are a class of symbiotic algae that help reef corals grow faster. Since living space is severely limited in the cave ceilings and dimly lit overhangs that Leptoseris troglodyta resides in, jettisoning the traditional relationship with the algae may be an evolutionary adaptation that helps the coral grow and spread more slowly, conserving valuable space and preventing population booms that could end in disaster for the coral colonies. Since most corals become bleached when they lose their algal colonies, the lack of a relationship with zooxanthallae could explain the cave corals distinctive pallor as well.

While this new coral is a particularly weird one, it’s not surprising to find it where researchers did, in the so-called Coral Triangle, a region of the Indian and Pacific Oceans renowned and studied for its biodiversity and abundance of corals and sea life.

The coral, which seems to thrive without access to sunlight, is generally found around 35 meters below sea level, approaching the 40 meter mark where most reef corals stop appearing altogether. The fact that it thrives in the perpetual darkness of underwater caves, though, leads marine biologists to suspect it could also be found in caves farther below the surface.

You can read the study in its entirety on ZooKeys right here, because ZooKeys is open-access, and open-access journals are the freaking best.

Question by mumei: What does it mean if fish need "mature water?" I want to have neon tetras? I was going to get a gold fish for my boyfriend and I, but I particularly like neon tetras so I think I will have a small tank of only tetras. I've read a few sites that say never start them in a new tank, that they need mature (and slightly acidic) water. What does that mean? Do they need materials like rocks that have been with other fish already? Will they be able to survive if I just give them a new tank? Thanks Best answer for What does it mean if fish need "mature water?" I want to have neon tetras?:

Answer by fishguy
mature water comes from tanks that have a fully mature biological filter. read about the nitrogen cycle and how it works in a fish tank.

Answer by I heart beets
slightly acidic means a pH slightly lower than 7. mature water is water that's been through the nitrogen cycle for a while. It's the same as using water from an established tank. I know that neons are pretty sensitive because I've had them and they aren't as hardy as say Cardinal fish. Cardinals look very similar and are a bit more hardy, but get a bit larger too.

Answer by T.J.
A new tank has to 'cycle'. It has to have the proper balance of good bacteria to counter the nitrogen from all the fish poop. Rocks and stuff that have been in tanks with other fish can help the process, the rocks would have to be kept wet with tank water while you transfer them. This will preserve the bacteria that is growing on the rocks. The bacteria is what is needed to make the tank safe for fish. Some fish are more hardy than others. It is usually best to start with a few very hardy fish in a new tank. It usually takes several months for the cycle to complete.

Answer by noselessman
That means they need a fully cycled tank, but also a tank that has been running well with other fish in it for a few months after they cycle was finished. Tetras are one of the more sensitive fish that are commanly sold. Neon tetras are pretty much the least hardy tetra. They should be in larger than minimum sized schools, in larger than minimum sized tanks. the minimum is 6 per school and a 20 gallon tank. a nutral Ph is 7, anything lower, like 6.5, 5, 4, is acidic. anything higher, like 7.5, 8 , 9 is alkaline or base . People with experiance in fish care would likely be able to get neons settled into a tank that was cycled but never had other fish in. They know a lot of tricks, and are able to spot signs of stress and solve the problems. If this is your first tank, I would suggest you start with just about any other fish. Cardinal tetras are even prettier than neons, though they really need the low/acidic Ph.

when you start a new tank, it takes a while for the tanks to "cycle" (ref to nitrogen cycle, see link below). Neon tetras can't deal with those conditions very well, and tend to die (ref to new tank syndrome, see link below). Anything below 20G is considered "small", and has limited options as to what/how much you can put in. Small tanks are actually hard to maintain, there is not much room for error. Start with a 20G tank (or bigger). Check freecycle/craigslist, good way to get a cheap one. Do some research (eg the links I put as sources) to know what you are getting into, and your chances of success increase dramatically.

Answer by JJWfishman
Mature water is a term for water that has enough beneficial bacteria in it to support the breaking down of waste products produced by living organisms. To have neon tetras, you should let the water sit with everything running for a couple three weeks, then add a small school of neons (like 6) after that, you can add more fish in gradually until you have a full school. BTW a 10 gallon or larger tank is minimum for at least 10 tetras.
