Question by amoeba: How to handle equation with "excess water"? "Calculate the mass of each product formed when 35.71 g diborane (B2H6) reacts with excess water. B2H6(g) + H2O(l) --> H3BO3(s) + H2(g) [unbalanced]" I am kind of confused by this problem. How am I supposed to know how much excess water there is? Do I need to balance the equation before doing calculations? Help! Best answer for How to handle equation with "excess water"?:

Answer by Edzel
